Freight rolling stock rental rates in Baltic countries in May 2025
No major changes were seen on the Baltic rental market of freight wagon in May 2025. They were only rental rates of boxcars with a body capacity of 161-175 cu m and fitting platforms which saw slight adjustments due to currency fluctuations.
Poland modernizes Euroterminal Slawkow
On May 26, the Industrial Development Agency and Euroterminal Slawkow signed an investment agreement to modernize the infrastructure of the logistics hub in Slawkow, located in southwestern Poland. The total investment amount is zl180 million. This was reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Poland.

Rail Baltica: construction of upper part of bridge over Neris River (Lithuania)
According to LTG Group, the company’s CEO Egidijus Lazauskas and Lithuanian Transport Minister Eugenijus Sabutis inspected the Rail Baltica construction sites in Jonava district, where five contractors from Lithuania and Italy are carrying out construction work on 46.3 km of the project.

Polish operator PKP CARGO has announced the launch of a new logistics chain – railroad rails produced by ArcelorMittal Poland are now being transported from the steel plant in Dabrowa Gornicza to Sweden without reloading wagons.
