In addition, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih is planning to shut down one of its furnaces in Q4.
Riga Freeport cargo turnover in September 2024
The Riga Freeport stepped up cargo turnover by 286,000 t to 1.6 million t in September compared with August.
Liepaja SEZ cargo turnover in September 2024
According to the Liepaja SEZ, the September cargo turnover dropped to the lowest level since January 2024 at the port. Operators reduced transshipment by 30,000 t to 497,000 t in September compared with August.
Poland: Up to 18.7 million tons of cargo carried by railway in August
A total of 18.7 million tons of various goods were transported by railway in Poland in August, down 2.1% month-on-month and down 2.7% year-on-year.
Port of Klaipeda cargo turnover in September 2024
The port of Klaipeda handled approximately 4.2 million t of various cargoes in September 2024, up 136,000 t from August and the highest since February 2022. The overall increase is mainly due to a 240,000 t hike in cargo turnover in the Klaipeda State Seaport to 3.54 million t.
