Ukrainian wagon building enterprises delivered as many as 205 freight wagons to their customers in August 2024, including 147 hoppers, 40 tank cars, 13 bunker-type wagons, 4 flat cars, and a gondola car.
Production and offer prices of large railway castings in Ukraine
Kremenchuk Steel Works produced about 1,100 t of large railway steel castings in August 2024. The total output averaged some 7,100 t during the period started January 1 and ended August 31, 2024.
Greece: LNG terminal in Alexandroupolis commissioned
On October 1, a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, Alexandroupolis LNG, with an annual throughput capacity of 5.5 billion cubic meters, began commercial operation in the Greek port of Alexandroupolis.

Moldova receives second batch of rails from Kazakhstan for railroad overhaul
On September 29, the Moldovan Railways (Calea Ferata din Moldova) received the second batch of P-65 rails in the amount of 1,400 tons from the Aktobe Rail and Section Works LLP (Kazakhstan) as part of an agreement signed earlier this year. The rails will be used for the overhaul of railways in Moldova.
Romania temporarily suspends sea and river traffic due to adverse weather
Both sea and river traffic has been suspended in Romania due to adverse weather conditions such as strong winds. This was reported by the country’s General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.
