Poland: Almost 194 mmt of goods transported by rail in ten months
Handling at Ukraine – Poland border crossings*
Up to 3,200 wagons were moving to the Izov station on November 29, including 1,200 wagons with cakes, 450 wagons with vegetable oil, and 180 wagons with grain. About 854 wagons were on their way to the Mostyska-2 station on that date, including 491 containers and 114 wagons with metals.
EU’s urea imports from Azerbaijan show rapid increase
According to the European Union Statistical Office (Eurostat), EU countries imported 92,100 t of urea from Azerbaijan worth €35.71 million in January-September 2023. Thus, the overall import volume increased by 2.5 times, and the total value rose by 43.5% compared with the same period last year.
Handling at Ukraine – Romania and Ukraine – Moldova border crossings*
Approximately 190 wagons were transferred daily through the the Vadul-Siret – Dornesti (Romania) land border crossing as of December 5 (down 11 wagons in two weeks). By destinations, some 136 wagons with export cargo (down 2 units) and 63 wagons with imported goods (down 9 units) were handled daily in the period under review.
Grain exports from Ukraine by railways reached 2.4 mmt in November 1-29
A total of 2.43 million tonnes of grain were exported from Ukraine by railways during the period started November 1 and ended November 29 compared with 1.73 million t in October. Zaporizhstal. Actual production in November
Zaporizhstal produced about 262,700 t of pig iron in November 2023, achieving a 83% hike year-on-year but showing a 2% decrease month-on-month. The enterprise also produced 240,800 t of steel (up 181% year-on-year but down 4% month-on-month) as well as 195,600 t of rolled products (up 161% but down 6%, respectively).

About 485 wagons were reportedly heading to the Batiovo – Epereshke land border crossing point on November 27, including 170 wagons with ore, 123 wagons with vegetable oil, 66 wagons with oil cake, and 46 wagons with grain.
