Ukraine exported a total of 1.24 million tonnes of grain by railway in the period from March 1 till March 15, of which some 416,000 t were carried through the western border crossings, while 822,000 t were shipped from sea ports.
About 286 wagons (four trains) were transferred daily through the Chop – Čierna nad Tisou border crossing in the period from March 1 to March 16. Approximately 4,000 wagons were waiting to be handled at the Chop station as of March 16.
The Freeport of Ventspils handled about 826,000 t of cargo in February 2023 (down overwhelming 751,000 t from January 2023). Note that the February 2023 cargo turnover appeared to be the lowest since October 2021.
As many as 8,015 wagons were transferred through the Izov-Hrubieszów border crossing since March 1 till March 15, 2023 with the average daily handling rate of 534 units (up 48 units per day compared to February), of which 445 wagons per day were heading on export direction and 89 wagons per day were moving…… Read more »

Azot (Cherkasy) and Rivne Azot have increased the load of their production facilities to 70% and 50%, respectively. Azot (Cherkasy) is currently producing ammonia, ammonium nitrate and urea, while Rivne Azot has launched an ammonia shop, an ammonium nitrate shop and a CAN shop.
The Iceland Samskip shipping company is planning to start shipments from the APM Terminals container port in Gothenburg (Sweden) on April 5.
The port of Kiel handled 7.7 million tonnes of cargo in 2022 (up 1.3% compared with 2021).
Kalmar, part of the Cargotec Group, has received an order from the international terminal operator DP World for the supply of nine 60-tonne hybrid container loaders in 4Q 2023.
