Discounts for transit through territory of Moldova
Throughout 2024, a discount of 27% will be applied to the tariff for rail transportation of agricultural products in transit through Moldova. Such agreements were reached during a meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Moldovan Mixed Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation on September 29, 2023 in Odesa.

Zaporizhstal produced a total of 265,500 t of pig iron in December (up 87% year-on-year and up 1% month-on-month). Steel output averaged some 228,600 t (up 223% year-on-year but down 5% month-on-month).
Ukraine’s enterprises of Metinvest Group launched 25 new products in 2023
According to the press service of the company, enterprises of the Metinvest Group launched production of 25 new types of steel products in 2023, as many as 14 of which were launched by Metinvest Group together with Zaporizhstal.
Handling at Ukraine-Slovakia border crossings*
About 266 wagons were transferred daily through the Chop – Čierna nad Tisou land border crossing point as of December 21 (up 9 units per day in two weeks). Approximately 199 wagons per day were moving on export routes (down 1 unit), while 67 wagons arrived with imported cargo (up 10 units).

USA cancels anti-dumping measures against certain steel products from Ukraine
Following an administrative review of anti-dumping measures against imports of prestressed concrete steel wire strand originating from Ukraine, the U.S. Department of Commerce set the dumping margin at 0% on November 16. Note that previously the tariff of 19.3% had been in effect since 2021.
