Liepaja SEZ cargo turnover in September
Stevedores of the Liepaja FEZ all together reached the total cargo turnover of 620,000 t in September, exceeding the result of August by almost 116,000 t.

In Ukraine, Cherkasy-based Azot continues to operate two urea production units. One of the units supplies raw materials for UAN production, while the other produces a commercial product. As a reminder, the operation of plant’s urea shops may be unstable in October.

In Ukraine, phosphate fertilizers are being purchased mainly in small lots. Demand for NPK fertilizers remains low. Some farmers are buying small and medium-sized batches of the product. Note that supplies of imported NPK have started to decline seasonally.
Port of Klaipeda cargo turnover in September
The cargo turnover increased by 118,000 t to 3.6 million t in the Port of Klaipeda in September. The Klaipeda State Seaport transshipped 2.8 million t of cargo in the period under review (up 172,000 t from August)
Handling at Ukraine – Poland border crossings*
About 2,800 wagons were moving to the Izov station on September 27. Up to 2,000 wagons were on their way to the Mostyska-2 station on that date, including 1,000 containers, 450 wagons with metals and 219 wagons with coal.
Railway deliveries of mineral fertilizers to Ukrainian consignees
The total rail transportation volume of mineral fertilizers surged by 86,000 t to 346,000 t in August compared with July (up 33% month-on-month), which has become the best monthly result since the start of this year.

In Ukraine, urea is being supplied to domestic and foreign markets, and is also processed into UAN. OstChem Retail has not changed the fertilizer price.

In Ukraine, farmers are purchasing phosphate fertilizers required for the fall application. The products are being mostly purchased in small stems. However, prices continue to decline. Dnipro Mineral Fertilizer Plant continues to produce NP 10:32 and NP 8:22.

In the second week of September, Egyptian producers have been offering granular urea at $460-470/t FOB, although the netback from prices in Europe has reached $410-445/t FOB. No signed deals have been reported.

Chinese suppliers have been granted DAP export quotas for Q4 2023 in the amount of 1.2 million t.
