According to data covering the period from December 1 to December 13, a total of 1.06 million tonnes of grain were exported from Ukraine by railways (compared with 2.43 million t in November), of which about 807,000 t arrived at Ukrainian ports
Ukrainian sunflower oil is offered at $900/t CIF Izmir and $885-890/t CIF Mersin for shipments in December-January. Bids are voiced by $10-15/t lower.
A total of 1,708 wagons were transferred through the Batiovo – Epereshke land border crossing point in November, showing a handling rate of 57 wagons per day (compared with 56 wagons in the previous month) including 35 wagons with grain (up 1.7 units daily from October).
More than 8,200 wagons with various goods were awaiting to be transferred through Ukraine’s western land border crossing points on December 11 compared with almost 9,800 wagons in late November.
The cargo turnover decreased by 256,000 t to 1.3 million t at the Riga Freeport in November compared with October.
The November cargo turnover decreased by 149,000 t or 20% month-on-month to 590,000 t at the Liepaja Free Economic Zone (SEZ).
The cargo turnover of the Port of Klaipeda remained unchanged in November compared with October. Meanwhile, a 135,000 t decrease in transshipment at the Klaipeda State Seaport to 2.9 million t was offset by a 129,000 t rise in handling of crude oil at the Butinge terminal to 790,000 t.
A total of 134.7 million tonnes of goods of various product groups were transported in the Ukrzaliznytsia rail network during the period started January 1 and ended November 30, 2023, down 4% compared with the same period of the previous year.
Grain exports from Ukraine by railways averaged some 463,500 tonnes in the period started December 1 and ended December 6. Up to 3,200 wagons were moving to the Izov station on November 29, including 1,200 wagons with cakes, 450 wagons with vegetable oil, and 180 wagons with grain. About 854 wagons were on their way to the Mostyska-2 station on that date, including 491 containers and 114 wagons with metals.
