The situation remains critical for ship owners working on the small-tonnage shipping market given long list of open vessels in almost every section. As expected, a barely noticeable upturn in shipments of Egyptian fertilizers and Russian steel had no impact on the overall market picture.
This weekend, German carrier Hapag-Lloyd will become the first mainline operator to start offering container transportation to Ukrainian seaports. The company will work with a Romanian-Ukrainian service operated by Iteris Feeders, a Ukrainian transport and logistics company based in Odesa.
