45 million tons of goods shipped from Greater Odesa ports via temporary corridor
Since its launch in August 8, 2023, more than 1,600 vessels have used the temporary corridors for merchant ships sailing to/from the Black Sea ports of Ukraine.

Riga Freeport cargo turnover in April 2024
The Riga Freeport handled about 1.4 million tonnes of various types of goods in April. Therefore, the total cargo turnover decreased by 108,000 t in April compared with March.
Port of Klaipeda cargo turnover in April 2024
The April cargo turnover of the port of Klaipeda increased by 244,000 t compared with March to almost 3.6 million t. This is mainly due to a 263,000 t hike in handling volume of crude oil at the Butinge terminal to 856,000 t (up 44% month-on-month).
Liepaja SEZ cargo turnover in April 2024
The stevedoring companies of Liepaja SEZ reported a 52,000 t decrease in transshipment volumes of all types of cargo in April compared with March. Thus, the cargo turnover averaged some 585,000 t in the period under review.

Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company: repair works continue on Kapitan Antypov vessel
According to Dmytro Moskalenko, General Director of Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company, the dismantling of two main engines (the first of which weighs 7.5 tons), two generators and a gearbox on the ship Kapitan Antypov has been completed at the ÖSWAG shipyard (Linz, Austria).

Qortia AG resumes grain shipments from Ukraine’s deep-water ports
Qortia AG (Switzerland), a trading and logistics company, has sent the vessel Bereket M (flying the Panamanian flag) with 21,500 tons of Ukrainian corn from Pivdennyi port to Turkey. This was the first vessel this year that the company loaded independently in a deep-water Ukrainian port.

The situation for small-tonnage owners working in the Black and Mediterranean Seas has worsened significantly after April 22. Now it can for sure be called critical. An already weak cargo flow has shrunk noticeably. This primarily applies to shipments of Ukrainian grain from the Danube ports.
