Iron ore railway deliveries from Ukraine in April 2024
Iron ore transportation by railway from Ukraine amounted to 3.5 million t in April, which was 20% below the volume recorded in March. In particular, iron ore exports plunged by 27% month-on-month to 2.6 million t, while the domestic deliveries rose by 6% month-on-month to 900,000 t.

Romanian port of Constanta to set additional anchorage to transship Ukrainian agricultural products
On May 18, during a trilateral meeting, representatives of Romania announced the completion of a tender for the organization of an additional anchorage for transshipment of Ukrainian grain in the port of Constanta.
Almeida Group receives 25 grain hoppers within USAID’s Economic Resilience Activity project
As part of the USAID’s Economic Resilience Activity (ERA) project, 25 new grain hoppers were purchased and delivered to the grain trading company Almeida Group LLC. The fleet will help increase the logistics and export capabilities of not only the company but also the industry as a whole.
New terminal and platform in port of Constanta
On May 15, a new Ro-Ro terminal and a platform for handling oversized cargo were officially opened in the Romanian port of Constanta.
Actual situation of navigation through Sulina and Bystre canals
As of May 16, there were about ten vessels standing on the roadsteads of the Sulina and Bystre canals awaiting an entrance westwards to the Danube ports. The waiting time was hovering around one to two days.
Rail Cargo Hungaria temporarily banned from transporting all cargoes via some border crossings to Croatia
From May 20 to May 27, Rail Cargo Hungaria is prohibited from transporting cargo of any type from Ukrainian stations via the Krizevci (HR), Koprivnica (MAV) and Botovo (HR) border crossings to Croatia for all consignees.
