Moldova receives second batch of rails from Kazakhstan for railroad overhaul
On September 29, the Moldovan Railways (Calea Ferata din Moldova) received the second batch of P-65 rails in the amount of 1,400 tons from the Aktobe Rail and Section Works LLP (Kazakhstan) as part of an agreement signed earlier this year. The rails will be used for the overhaul of railways in Moldova.
Romania temporarily suspends sea and river traffic due to adverse weather
Both sea and river traffic has been suspended in Romania due to adverse weather conditions such as strong winds. This was reported by the country’s General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.

Exports of agricultural products from Ukraine in August 2024
Almost 4.8 million t of agricultural products were exported from Ukraine in August 2024 (down 3% or about 100,000 t compared with July). The railway traffic of rolled steel products, semi-finished products, pipes, pig iron and scrap of ferrous metals increased by 6% month-on-month to 950,000 t in Ukraine in August.
