The cargo turnover did not change much at the Liepaja SEZ in March 2025. The port’s stevedoring companies processed approximately 537,000 t of cargo in March, just 2% or 9,000 t falling behind February.
The port of Klaipeda handled a total of 4.3 million t of various cargoes in March 2025, which exceeded the results of February 2025 by 568,000 t and became the highest since February 2022. The increase is due to higher cargo turnover in Klaipeda State Seaport
A total of 16.7 million t of cargo were transported by railways in Poland in February 2025, down 1.1 million t or 6.4% compared with February 2024 and down 900,000 t or 5% from January 2025.
Almost 4.36 million t of agricultural products were exported from Ukraine in February 2025, exceeding the January result by 7% or approximately 300,000 t. Thus, local traders exported 3.82 million t of grain (up 11% year-on-year or 400,000 t), 340,000 t of vegetable oil (down 11% year-on-year or 43,000 t)
The cargo turnover barely reached 632,000 t at the Ventspils Freeport in February 2025, a 247,000 t slump compared with January 2025 with decreased transshipment in literally all cargo groups.
