Export deliveries of ferrous metals by railway in February 2024
The railway traffic of rolled steel products, semi-finished products, pipes, pig iron and scrap of ferrous metals decreased by 9% month-on-month to 700,000 t in Ukraine in February. Iron ore railway deliveries from Ukraine in February 2024
A total of 4.1 million t of iron ore were carried by railways in Ukraine in February, showing an increase of 9% compared with January. Iron ore exports rose by 11% month-on-month to 3.3 million t, while home deliveries remained at the level of the previous month, still averaging some 800,000 t.
Astarta starts exporting sugar by sea
Astarta is the first Ukrainian company to export sugar by sea, having loaded and shipped a vessel with 3,000 t of the product to North Africa. This was announced by Vyacheslav Chuk, Astarta’s commercial director, during his speech at a conference in Dubai in March.
Riga Freeport stepping up transshipment of metallurgical products
