Iron ore export deliveries from Ukraine by railway in August 2024
The volume of iron ore transportation by railway dropped by 11% to 3.2 million t in Ukraine in August 2024 compared with July 2024. Exports decreased by 12% month-on-month to 2.3 million t, and domestic deliveries fell by 7% month-on-month to 900,000 t.
Port of Klaipeda cargo turnover in August 2024
The overall transshipment volume increased by 636,000 t to 4.1 million t at the port of Klaipeda in August thanks to a 731,000 t splash to 3.3 million t in cargo turnover at the Klaipeda State Seaport. The Riga Freeport cargo turnover increased by 80,000 t to 1.35 million t in August compared with July.
Liepaja SEZ cargo turnover in August 2024
The Liepaja SEZ cargo turnover did not change much in August compared with July. The stevedoring companies of the port processed a total of 526,000 t of goods, up insignificant 1% or 5,000 t over the month.

Port of Gdansk cargo turnover in H1 2024
The port of Gdansk handled a total of 38.1 million t of cargo in the period from January 1 to June 30, 2024. The lion’s share fell on liquid fuel (53%) as well as general cargoes, mostly containerized ones.
Temporary ban on transportation of fats and oils via Izov-Exp. to Poland for some consignees
In the period from August 22 to August 31, transportation of fats and oils of animal and vegetable origin, prepared edible fats and waxes of animal or vegetable origin (HS 15) from Ukrainian railway stations via the Izov-Exp border crossing to Wola Baranowska LHS in Poland is prohibited for some consignees
