Port of Constanta handled 92.5 million t of cargo in 2023
Last year, the Romanian seaport of Constanta handled 92.5 million tonnes of cargo (up 22.5% year-on-year), including 25 million t of Ukrainian goods.
Current situation at the Polish border
As of the early morning of February 22, all Polish border crossing points are operating normally, despite the protesters’ occasional attempts to block the traffic. Local police respond to illegal activities, which helps control the situation.
IGB capacity expansion
According to preliminary technical studies, ICGB – the operator of Greek-Bulgarian interconnector (IGB) – expects to increase its annual capacity from 3 bcm to 5 bcm from Q4 2025 at the Stara Zagora interconnector and from Q4 2026 at Komotini.
