Ukrzaliznytsia is launching a new Intermodal Train service for the transportation of containers to Poland. The trains will run on the routes Kyiv/Odesa/Dnipro/Vinnytsia-Gdansk.
As many as 2,287 wagons with a total of 150,600 t of goods were handled at the Batiovo – Epereshke land border crossing point in the period from July 1 to July 24.

Lübecker Hafen-Gesellschaft (LHG) will increase the length of each of the six tracks at the Baltic Rail Gate intermodal terminal (Lübeck-Travemünde) from 600 m to 750 m (which corresponds to the standard length of trains in Europe), which will reduce shunting time and increase the handling of semi-trailers from 140,000 to 240,000 per year.

PKP Cargo reports that due to the lack of coordination between cargo owners and carriers, there is a queue of trains moving to the recipient Port Północny in the port of Gdansk.
