There were about 8,700 wagons with various goods waiting to be transferred through Ukraine’s western land border crossing points as of August 17 compared with 7,390 wagons seen in late July.
A total of 82.7 million tonnes of various goods were transported in the Ukrzaliznytsia railway network in the period from January 1 to July 30, 2023, down 13% year-on-year.
On August 9, a total of 1,639 wagons were waiting in a queue at the Izov station (556 wagons with ore, 329 wagons with metals, 434 wagons with cakes, 108 containers), while 1,046 wagons (483 with metals, 369 containers, 163 with grain, 30 with cement) were standing at the Mostyska-2 station.
