Handling at Ukraine – Poland border crossings*
Up to 3,200 wagons were moving to the Izov station on November 29, including 1,200 wagons with cakes, 450 wagons with vegetable oil, and 180 wagons with grain. About 854 wagons were on their way to the Mostyska-2 station on that date, including 491 containers and 114 wagons with metals.
EU’s urea imports from Azerbaijan show rapid increase
According to the European Union Statistical Office (Eurostat), EU countries imported 92,100 t of urea from Azerbaijan worth €35.71 million in January-September 2023. Thus, the overall import volume increased by 2.5 times, and the total value rose by 43.5% compared with the same period last year.

Urea export quotes have been mostly decreasing this week. According to unconfirmed reports, traders from Egypt have sold about 5,000 t of granular fertilizer to Turkey at $345/t FOB Egypt. No offers of prilled fertilizer have been reported.
Lithuanian port of Klaipeda receives large consignment of mineral fertilizers for Kernel and Sanagro
The Lithuanian port of Klaipeda has received 55,000 t of mineral fertilizers, most of which are destined for Ukraine, the rest for the Baltic States and Poland. According to Kernel, these fertilizers will have to undergo complicated logistics, with further sea, road and rail handling.

OCP’s phosphate fertilizers are still offered to European consumers for shipments in December. Thus, OCP’s DAP is quoted at $614/t FOB Morocco for Germany, at $550-565/t FOB Morocco for Romania (spot stems) and at $680/t FOB Morocco for France (November-December shipments).

Trade is slow on the global urea market, with prices falling noticeably. In Egypt, granular urea has been sold in the middle of the week at $350-357/t FOB for December shipments, unconfirmed reports show. In addition, HFC has sold a total of 40,000 t of the fertilizer to Europe and Turkey at $355-360/t FOB.
