Container Terminal Mostyska (the company “Mostyska Dry Port”) handled more than 72,400 TEU in 2023, with Asian countries (via European ports), Poland, Italy and Germany being the main destinations.
Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers simplifies conditions for export of sunflower seeds to Bulgaria
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has simplified the conditions for exporting sunflower seeds to Bulgaria by introducing an automatic licensing regime instead of a non-automatic one. The relevant decision was made at a government meeting on February 2, 2024.
LTG Cargo: Cargo transportation volumes in 2023
Last year, the Lithuanian company LTG Cargo (Lietuvos Geležinkeliai) transported a total of 27.2 million t of cargo (up 2.5 million t compared with the year before). The list of most actively carried cargoes includes oil and oil products (9.4 million t), construction cargoes (5.5 million t), and agricultural products (4.7 million t).

During the meeting of representatives of the Ukrainian and Romanian railways, Viktor Gurdish, the GFR’s representative, has announced that a new grain transshipment terminal is going to be operational in February. The facility is situated near the Dorneşti station.

Almost 7.2 million tonnes of agricultural products were exported from Ukraine in December 2023, showing an increase of 32% month-on-month or 1.7 million t compared with November. In particular, December exports included slightly less than 6 million t of grain (up 32% month-on-month or 1.5 million t)

Discounts for transit through territory of Moldova
Throughout 2024, a discount of 27% will be applied to the tariff for rail transportation of agricultural products in transit through Moldova. Such agreements were reached during a meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Moldovan Mixed Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation on September 29, 2023 in Odesa.
