A total of 3.8 million t of various cargoes were handled at the Port of Klaipeda in October 2025, showing a 13% or 566,000 t decrease from September. Out of the volume, the cargo turnover dropped by 287,000 t to 3.3 million t at Klaipeda State Seaport
The cargo turnover decreased by 13% at the Liepaja SEZ in October 2025. Port operators handled approximately 553,000 t of various cargoes, which is 83,000 t below last month.
Stevedoring companies operating at Ventspils Freeport handled a total of 591,000 t of various cargoes in September 2025, down 33% or 289,000 t compared to August.
The September cargo turnover reached 1.56 million t at the Riga Freeport, showing an increase of 168,000 t compared to August.
The cargo turnover increased by 79,000 t to 636,000 t in the Liepaja SEZ in September compared to August 2025.
In September, the Port of Klaipeda transshipped approximately 4.35 million t of various cargoes, which became the highest handling volume since February 2022 and exceeded the August turnover by 102,000 t. The increase was exclusively thanks to Klaipeda State Seaport that handled a total of 3.59 million t of cargo
The overall cargo turnover increased by 166,000 t to 1.4 million t at Riga Freeport in August 2025 compared with July 2025.
