EU is likely to extend trade liberalization measures for Ukraine
On Wednesday, March 20, the EU Parliament and Council reached a preliminary agreement on the extension of trade liberalization measures for Ukraine. It is expected that the temporary suspension of import duties and quotas on exports of Ukrainian agricultural products to the EU will be extended for another year – until June 5, 2025.
European Parliament called for sanctions and embargo on grain from Russia and Belarus
During the European Parliament’s meeting on March 12, representatives of many political groups called for an embargo and sanctions on food and agricultural products originating in Russia and Belarus.
Up to 30 mmt of goods moved from Greater Odesa ports through temporary corridor
Since 8 August 2023, when the Navy of the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a temporary corridor for vessels heading to/from the Ukraine’s Black Sea ports, a total of 1,005 vessels have sailed along this route.
