Ukrainian grain export prices have been mostly falling this week. Traders are trying to attract importers’ attention to speed up sales. Due to increased bombing of the Danube port infrastructure, grain storage in local warehouses is becoming high risk, so traders are trying to switch to direct transshipment.

Export prices for Kazakh wheat hold steady, but traders expect quotes for grade 3 wheat to rise to $260/t DAP Saryagash soon amid seasonal increase in demand.

Handling at Ukraine – Hungary border crossings*
Up to 700 wagons were reportedly heading to the Batiovo – Epereshke land border crossing point on September 11, of which 153 wagons were loaded with grain. Meanwhile, up to 80 wagons were moving to Chop – Zahony border crossing in that date.
Handling of grain wagons at Ukraine’s sea ports
Up to 500 wagons with grain were waiting for unloading at Ukrainian sea ports as of September 6. Taking into account that approximately 168 wagons per day are accepted at the stations
Handling at Ukraine – Romania and Ukraine – Moldova border crossings*
As many as 187 wagons were transferred daily through the the Vadul-Siret – Dornesti (Romania) land border crossing as of September 12 (up 86 wagon compared with the previous week).
