Ventspils Freeport cargo turnover in April
The Freeport of Ventspils increased its cargo turnover by 153,000 t to 890,000 t in April compared with March.
Liepaja SEZ cargo turnover in April
Despite an 18,000 slump in handling of general cargo to 172,000 t and a 2,000 t decrease in transshipment of liquid cargo to 21,000 t, the overall cargo turnover reached 665,000 t in Liepaja FEZ in April, showing a 31,000 t rise compared with March.

Romania builds new transshipment rail hub for Ukrainian grain
“Grain Capital” Group of Companies has implemented a project to build a transshipment hub from 1,520 mm track gauge to 1,435 mm European gauge at the Romanian border.

The Black Sea Grain Initiative has been unblocked and will continue to be effective until July 18.
Ban on grain shipments to Hungary extended
Starting May 17 and until the decision is revoked, shipments of wheat (HS 1001), corn (1005), rapeseed (1205) and sunflower seeds (1206) to the Hungarian carrier Rail Cargo Hungaria are suspended, according to the Ukrzaliznytsia’s telegram No. ЦДЗ/157 of May 17.
