Moldova to join EU import restrictions on Ukrainian agri products
At the meeting with Ukrainian Agriculture Minister Mykola Solsky in Chisinau on May 6, Moldova’s Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vladimir Bolea announced Moldova’s intention to join the EU’s decision to impose the temporary restrictive measures on imports of wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower originating in Ukraine and to support the transit traffic.
Actual situation with transportation of agricultural products through western border crossings of Ukraine
As of May 8, as many as 278 wagons were standing at a Ukrainian 1520 mm track gauge station waiting for transferring through the Yahodyn-Dorohusk border crossing point, including 92 wagons with transit cargo.
European Parliament extends zero import duties on Ukrainian products
On May 9, the European Parliament voted to extend for another year the zero anti-dumping duties and safeguards for Ukrainian exports of fruits and vegetables (subject to the system of input prices), as well as agricultural products and processed products (subject to tariff quotas) to the European Union.
Ukrzaliznytsia: Updated information on grain transportation to Slovakia
Starting May 9 and until the decision is revoked, the operator ZSSK Cargo is prohibited from accepting wheat and meslin (HS 1001), rye (1002), rapeseed (1205) and sunflower seeds (1206) for transportation from Ukraine to Slovakia for all consignees.
