NIBULON has announced cooperation with Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company. The terms of the contract provide for the use of one caravan of the UDP fleet to ship Ukrainian grain from Izmail to the Romanian port of Constanta.
A total of 5.04 million t of agricultural products were exported from Ukraine in June, falling behind the May volume by 25% or 1.67 million t. In particular, exports included 4.1 million t of grain (down 26% month-on-month or 1.48 million t), 490,000 t of vegetable oil (down 26% month-on-month or 170,000 t)
In June, the Riga Freeport processed 1.4 million t of cargo, up 91,000 t compared with May.
According to the Rhenus Group, Ukrainian corn is already being transshipped in the port of Duisburg (Germany). Up to four container trains arrive here every month. The port is ready to work with other crops as well.
The port of Klaipeda stepped up transshipment by 252,000 t to almost 3.57 million t in June compared with May.
The cargo turnover did not change much at the Liepaja SEZ in June compared with May. Thus, port operators processed 576,000 t of cargo in June, which is 12,800 t below the volume handled in May.
The cargo turnover has been shrinking at the Riga Freeport for the third month in a row. In May, port operators handled about 1.3 million t of goods, falling behind the April result by about 122,000 t.
The Forța Fermierilor Association (Moldova) demands that the government extend the procedure for licensing the imports of grains and oilseeds, which expired on June 26.
