Ventspils Freeport cargo turnover in December 2024
The cargo turnover dropped by 13% at Ventspils Freeport in December compared to November 2024. In particular, the port transshipped approximately 806,000 t of cargo of various types (down 116,000 t over the month).

Riga Freeport cargo turnover in December 2024
The stevedoring companies operating in the Riga Freeport handled approximately 1.6 million t of cargo in December, which is 143,000 t below the November result.
Liepaja SEZ cargo turnover in December 2024
The cargo turnover remained almost unchanged at Liepaja SEZ in December compared with November. Thus, port operators handled a total of 547,000 t of cargoes in December 2024, down 2,000 t over the month.
Port of Klaipeda cargo turnover in December 2024
The total transshipment volume increased by 10,000 t at the port of Klaipeda in December compared with November Port operators processed a total of 3.8 million t of cargo, of which 3.1 million t fell on Klaipeda State Seaport (down 80,000 t) while 681,000 t were handled by Butinge Terminal (up 90,000 t).
Moldova extends grain import licensing until mid-2025
The Government of the Republic of Moldova has decided to extend the licensing of imports of wheat, corn and sunflower seeds until June 30, 2025.
