Riga Freeport cargo turnover in March
The Freeport of Riga handled almost 1.7 million tonnes of cargo in March 2023, down 121,000 t compared with February 2023.

About 302 wagons (four trains) were transferred daily through the Chop – Čierna nad Tisou land border crossing in the period from April 1 till April 6. A total of 3,421 wagons were reportedly waiting at the Chop station on April 6.

The Freeport of Riga stepped up the total cargo turnover by 27,000 t to 1.8 million t in February 2023 compared with January 2023.
Handling at Ukraine-Romania and Ukraine-Moldova border crossings*
Vadul-Siret – Dornesti (Romania) land border crossing served about 191 wagons per day in the period from March 1 till March 21 (two trains on a 1520 mm gauge track and two trains on a 1435 mm gauge track).
Ventspils Freeport cargo turnover in February
The Freeport of Ventspils handled about 826,000 t of cargo in February 2023 (down overwhelming 751,000 t from January 2023). Note that the February 2023 cargo turnover appeared to be the lowest since October 2021.

The Freeport of Riga ended December 2022 with a record handling volume of cargoes compared to the previous two years.

The stevedores operating at the port of Klaipeda handled a total of 2.8 million tonnes of various types of cargo throughout Dec 2022 (down 301,000 t from the Nov volume).
Liepaja SEZ cargo turnover in December
The total cargo turnover amounted to 629,000 t at SEZ Liepaja in Dec 2022, which was 11,000 t below the Nov result.
Ventspils Freeport cargo turnover in November
Stevedoring companies of the Ventspils Freeport processed almost 1.3 million tonnes of various cargo in November. Note that the overall handling volume was 255,000 t higher in October.
