Handling of grain wagons at Ukraine’s sea ports

Since mid-June, Baltic Container Terminal (BCT) has been cooperating with logistics operators Fortis Logistics Group and Multimodal Solutions & Services to launch a new intermodal transportation service for Ukrainian cargo to the port of Gdynia.
From September 11 and until the decision is revoked, the French railway operator Fret SNCF will be subject to a convention that will restrict transportation of cargoes of any kind from Slovakia to Spain. This is stated in the ZSSK Cargo notification No. ZAN/497-2187 of September 8, according to the Fret SNCF.
As many as 187 wagons were transferred daily through the the Vadul-Siret – Dornesti (Romania) land border crossing as of September 12 (up 86 wagon compared with the previous week).
During a meeting of Ukrainian and Slovak railroaders, Josef Virba, a representative of ZSSK Cargo, said that from September 11 to 17, repair work would be carried out in Slovakia during technological windows.
