The authorities of the Puglia region in southeastern Italy have recently approved a project to modernize the railway connection to the port of Brindisi, which will allow trains with a length of 750 m to move in this direction.

Italy: Facchini 1 tunnel modernization completed
The Facchini 1 tunnel, a key section of the railroad that provides access for freight trains to the port of Genoa in northwestern Italy, has completed modernization work.
