Capacity expansion at Baltic Rail Gate intermodal terminal (Germany)
Lübecker Hafen-Gesellschaft (LHG) will increase the length of each of the six tracks at the Baltic Rail Gate intermodal terminal (Lübeck-Travemünde) from 600 m to 750 m (which corresponds to the standard length of trains in Europe), which will reduce shunting time and increase the handling of semi-trailers from 140,000 to 240,000 per year.
