LTG Infra (the infrastructure company of LTG Group, Lithuania) plans to extend the construction of the Rail Baltica high-speed railway by another 114 km this year and has announced a new public tender. It is about the construction of an embankment and engineering structures on the Berciunai – Joniskelis section.

The stevedoring companies of Liepaja SEZ handled a total of 676,000 t of various types of cargoes in April, exceeding the March transshipment by 138,000 t. The increase is owing to larger transshipment of dry cargo (up 168,000 t to 492,000 t) and liquid cargo (up 14,000 t to 33,000 t).
The construction of the Fishka-Nov multimodal terminal in Hlyboka village (Chernivtsi region) is nearing completion. This facility is expected to become a logistics hub near the Romanian border. German mining company K+S has put into operation the first 60 20-foot ChemieTainer containers developed by Innofreight, which will be used for intermodal transportation of fertilizers to Poland.
