According to actual data, Ukraine exported almost 2.737 million t of grain in December 2023 compared with 2.43 million t in November 2023. Not less than 2.1 million t of grain meant for oversea shipments arrived at Ukraine’s ports in December (against 1.7 million t in November).
About 266 wagons were transferred daily through the Chop – Čierna nad Tisou land border crossing point as of December 21 (up 9 units per day in two weeks). Approximately 199 wagons per day were moving on export routes (down 1 unit), while 67 wagons arrived with imported cargo (up 10 units).
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine signed Resolution No. 1402 dated December 27, 2023 “On Approval of the Lists of Goods Subject to Licensing and Quotas for 2024”. The resolution came into force from January 1, 2024.

A total of 3 million t of Ukrainian iron ore were carried by railways in November (up 17% compared with October). Export iron ore traffic increased by 19% month-on-month to 2.3 million t in November, while domestic deliveries rose by 10% month-on-month to 700,000 t.

About 185 wagons were transferred daily through the the Vadul-Siret – Dornesti (Romania) land border crossing as of December 19 (down 5 wagons in two weeks). By destinations, approximately 146 wagons with export cargo (up 10 units) and 39 wagons with imported goods (down 24 units) were handled daily in the period under review.
According to data covering the period from December 1 to December 13, a total of 1.06 million tonnes of grain were exported from Ukraine by railways (compared with 2.43 million t in November), of which about 807,000 t arrived at Ukrainian ports
