There were about 7,090 wagons with various goods waiting to be transferred through Ukraine’s western land border crossing points as of July 20 compared with 7,080 wagons seen in late June.
Lübecker Hafen-Gesellschaft (LHG) will increase the length of each of the six tracks at the Baltic Rail Gate intermodal terminal (Lübeck-Travemünde) from 600 m to 750 m (which corresponds to the standard length of trains in Europe), which will reduce shunting time and increase the handling of semi-trailers from 140,000 to 240,000 per year.
