Railroad connection between France and Italy suspended due to landslide
On August 27, heavy rainfall caused a landslide 20 km from the French-Italian border near Bardonecchia in the Morin region (Frény municipality, Savoie, France), and rail traffic was suspended for an indefinite period due to damage to the rail and road infrastructure.

According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 744 (dated July 18, 2023), Annex 1 of Resolution No. 1466 (dated December 27, 2022) “On Approval of the Lists of Goods Subject to Licensing and Quotas for 2023” was amended.

Up to 8,600 wagons to be transferred to foreign operators were found waiting in the Ukrzaliznytsia rail network on August 23. In particular, 9 wagons had been loaded before June 1, while 1 wagon was loaded in June.
Handling at Ukraine – Hungary border crossings*
As many as 601 wagons were heading to the Batiovo – Epereshke land border crossing point on August 28, of which 194 wagons were loaded with grain and 166 wagons with vegetable oil. Up to 57 wagons including 55 wagons with grain were moving to the Chop – Zahony border crossing.
