The small-tonnage shipping market continues to see an increase in the number of seagoing vessels, especially in the Mediterranean Sea. At the same time, the pace of trade is still recovering very slowly after the holidays, and activity remains low this week.

The small-tonnage shipping market is still searching for its new direction after the long holidays. For now, the situation looks extremely ambiguous, especially in the Black Sea. The fact is that the number of available vessels has declined considerably in the Black and Marmara Seas in late December and early January.

On January 5, the shipping company Maersk raised its rates for transporting containers by rail to Ukraine. Maersk Ukraine announced this on its Telegram channel.
