Grain exports from Ukraine in MY 2023/2024
A total of 10.97 million tonnes of grain and legumes were exported from Ukraine since the beginning of the current marketing year started July 1 and up to November 15, 2023, which is 30% below the result of the same period of MY 2022/2023.

Negative sentiment continues to dominate the small-tonnage shipping markets of the Black and Mediterranean Seas due to persisting noticeable tonnage surplus. However, ship owners have finally managed to stop the decline in rates ex Danube ports, as well as ex Black Sea ports of EU, Turkey and Russia.

Liepaja SEZ cargo turnover in October
The overall cargo turnover reached 739,000 t in the Liepaja SEZ in October (up 119,000 t compared with September). The result has become the highest since April 2022. Note that the increase is solely due to a 142,000 t hike in transshipment of dry bulk cargo to 573,000 t.
