LTG Cargo Ukraine, a subsidiary of Lietuvos geležinkeliai (LTG Cargo), together with the Lithuanian company Tri Trans is organizing the transportation of 44 heavy containers of rapeseed oil from Yahodyn station (Ukraine) to the port of Klaipeda (Lithuania).
On average, as many as 209 wagons were transferred daily through the Chop – Čierna nad Tisou land border crossing point as of November 9 (down 41 units in two weeks). In particular, 183 wagons were moving on export routes (down 40 units), while 26 wagons arrived with imported goods (down 1 wagon).
The first container train has been sent within the LOG4NRW project, which has been implemented since August this year by the alliance of the ports of Dortmund, Duisport, DeltaPort, and the private rail freight operator Kreisbahn Siegen-Wittgenstein (KSW).
The overall cargo turnover dropped by 139,000 t to 1.6 million t at the Riga Freeport in October, showing a decrease of 8% compared with September 2023.
LV Agroo, a Latvian company engaged in the production and distribution of mineral fertilizers, has provided loading of its own products to containers that arrived at the port of Riga with agricultural products from Ukraine.

As many as 3,500 wagons were moving to the Izov station on November 2, including 1,200 wagons with cakes, 457 wagons with vegetable oil, and 173 wagons with grain. About 1,600 wagons were on their way to the Mostyska-2 station on that date, including 900 containers.
The cargo turnover of the Port of Klaipeda increased by 1% in October compared with September.
About 11,480 wagons with various goods were found waiting for a transfer through Ukraine’s western land border crossing points on November 1 compared with 11,600 wagons in late October.
Approximately 534 wagons were reportedly heading to the Batiovo – Epereshke land border crossing point on October 30, including 99 wagons with ore, 113 wagons with grain and 106 wagons with vegetable oil.
