ActiveProject completes construction of dry port near border with Romania and Hungary
Transshipment of goods down 11% yoy at port of Klaipeda in Jan-Aug 2023
According to data of the port of Klaipeda, the total transshipment of all groups of goods dropped by 11% year-on-year to 21.26 million tonnes in January – August 2023 compared with the same period of 2022.
Handling at Ukraine – Romania and Ukraine – Moldova border crossings*
Approximately 181 wagons were transferred daily through the the Vadul-Siret – Dornesti (Romania) land border crossing as of October 3 (up 1 wagon compared with the daily rate a week ago).
Handling at Ukraine – Hungary border crossings*
About 500 wagons were reportedly heading to the Batiovo – Epereshke land border crossing point on October 2. Meanwhile, some 50 wagons including 22 wagons with clay were moving to Chop – Zahony border crossing point on that date.

About 2,800 wagons were moving to the Izov station on September 27. Up to 2,000 wagons were on their way to the Mostyska-2 station on that date, including 1,000 containers, 450 wagons with metals and 219 wagons with coal.

As many as 309 wagons were transferred daily through the Chop – Čierna nad Tisou land border crossing point in the period from of September 1 to September 28 (down 9 wagons compared with September 1-21).

RCH transports Ukrainian grain in containers to Italy
At a meeting held by Ukrzaliznytsia with Hungarian carriers, a representative of Rail Cargo Hungaria said that after the successful processing of grain transshipment for transportation to Italy, he expects an increase in the number of train departures in this direction.
