Railway deliveries of mineral fertilizers to Ukrainian consignees
The railway traffic of mineral fertilizers dropped by 44,000 t to about 157,000 t in Ukraine in November, showing a 22% plunge compared with October.

Quotes for imported thermal coal have grown on the West European market, although trade is moderate. Market participants refer the price increase to the seasonal factor.
Handling at Ukraine – Hungary border crossings*
A total of 1,708 wagons were transferred through the Batiovo – Epereshke land border crossing point in November, showing a handling rate of 57 wagons per day (compared with 56 wagons in the previous month) including 35 wagons with grain (up 1.7 units daily from October).
Handling at Ukraine-Slovakia border crossings*
About 257 wagons were transferred daily through the Chop – Čierna nad Tisou land border crossing point as of December 7 (up 15 units per day in two weeks). Approximately 200 wagons per day were moving on export routes (down 3 units), while 57 wagons arrived with imported cargo (up 18 wagons).
Handling of grain wagons at Ukraine’s sea ports
Almost 6,300 wagons with grain were found waiting for unloading at Ukrainian sea ports on December 4. Wagon queues at land border crossings
There were almost 9,600 wagons waiting for unloading at Ukraine’s western land border crossing points on December 10, down 1,342 wagons compared with November 29. In particular, as many as 1,567 wagons were standing loaded with grain on December 10 (down 73 units compared with November 29)

Deutsche Bahn starts construction of railroad line to future Fehmarnbelt underwater tunnel
On December 7, the German company Deutsche Bahn announced the start of construction of a railway line on the approach to the future Fehmarnbelt Tunnel, which will connect two islands – Danish Lolland and German Fehmarn – under the Fehmarn Belt.

More than 8,200 wagons with various goods were awaiting to be transferred through Ukraine’s western land border crossing points on December 11 compared with almost 9,800 wagons in late November.
