Goods awaiting transfer through Ukraine’s western land border crossing points
Approximately 10,000 wagons with various goods were found waiting for a transfer through Ukraine’s western land border crossing points on October 11 compared with about 11,000 wagons in late September.
Handling at Ukraine – Poland border crossings*
About 2,950 wagons were moving to the Izov station on October 11, including 938 wagons with cakes, 893 wagons with vegetable oil, and 246 wagons with grain. Up to 1,900 wagons were on their way to the Mostyska-2 station on that date, including 976 containers and 418 wagons with metals.
Three more vessels leave ports of Greater Odesa
On October 17, three bulk carriers used the temporary corridor of the Ukrainian Navy. In particular, the vessels Bull (82k DWT, flying the flag of Liberia), Ramus (6.1k DWT, flying the flag of Palau) and Bahar K (8.3k DWT, flying the flag of Vanuatu) departed from the ports of Greater Odesa.
Port of Gdansk to receive €100 million from European Union Fund for infrastructure development
The Port of Gdansk Authority has announced the signing of a grant agreement that provides the port with funding of almost €100 million for the project “Improving the Port of Gdańsk infrastructure and analysing the implementation of a low-carbon OPS system for the sustainable development of the TEN-T network”.
České dráhy to receive 50 Siemens Vectron locomotives from RSL on leasing terms
In early October, Czech Railways received two Siemens Vectron locomotives (193.576, 193.577) from the leasing company RSL. The operator’s fleet now includes 35 of these electric locomotives, with 39 by the end of the year and 22 more expected to be delivered next year.

After an environmental impact assessment and cross-border procedures with the German side, the Regional Environmental Protection Office in Szczecin issued an environmental decision that effectively gives the green light for the construction of a container terminal in Swinoujscie.

Ukraine and Moldova signed a protocol on organizing joint control at the Novosavytska – Kuchurhan railroad crossing point on the territory of Ukraine. The protocol was signed following an online meeting between the Prime Ministers of Ukraine and Moldova, Denys Shmyhal and Dorin Recean.
